One to One Coaching

How do we measure results?

The clearest measurement is noticeable changes in your performance.

Many clients are looking for "measurable change" and The Success Group have a number of formats and tools to quantify results.

  • Programme objectives are written and progress against them is reviewed.
  • "360° feedback". Bosses, peer groups, direct reports and even customers are asked for information on the participant. This helps to identify relevant development objectives.
  • Goals can be hard or soft. Hard measures relate to tangible results or outcomes. Soft goals are more subjective, depending on changing perceptions and attitudes. Both are equally valid. When met, both types of goals deliver improved performance that impacts on the bottom line.
  • "Success measures" help to plot change. People characterise what they do now and visualise what the changed behaviour would look like. At each subsequent session the client plots the change they see for themselves, analysing the reasons for this or its lack. This is a very powerful learning and development tool.
  • The people who sponsor coaching programmes like to measure success. Coaching is a confidential process, but in our experience, the organisation which values the coaching programme and supports the participant, gains the greatest benefit. We encourage people to discuss their programme with colleagues. We also see discussions with sponsors as a valuable part of measuring the success of a programme.

The Success Group’s strap line is "helping leaders have successful businesses and lives". We know your people are your most valued asset and you want to demonstrate that to them. Investment in them is important – and you want to see a return. We work to ensure that the participant and the organisation get a result.
